Mechanical Design Engineer

Compensation: $105k – $130k / year

Ironvale Robotics designs autonomous mobile robots for warehouse order picking. We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for our drivetrain and payload team as we move our third-generation robot from pilot to volume production.

What you will work on

  • Own mechanical design of lift and conveyor payload modules in SolidWorks
  • Run tolerance analysis, FEA and DFM reviews with our contract manufacturers
  • Build and test prototypes in our Austin lab, then drive design changes through ECOs
  • Support the production line during the first 500-unit build

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years designing electromechanical products
  • Experience taking a product from prototype to production
  • Comfortable with sheet metal, machined parts and injection-moulded components
  • Hands-on; you like being in the shop as much as at your desk

$105,000 to $130,000 base, stock options, full medical coverage and relocation assistance to Austin. On site five days a week; our lab is where the work happens.
