Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)

Compensation: $85 – $105 / hour

Pinecrest Financial is a regional bank moving its core lending applications from two data centres to AWS. We are engaging a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month contract to build out the landing zone and migration tooling with our platform team.

Scope of work

  • Build AWS accounts, networking and IAM with Terraform in a multi-account landing zone
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for infrastructure and application teams
  • Implement logging, monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch and Datadog
  • Document runbooks and hand over to the internal team at the end of the engagement

Requirements

  • 5+ years in infrastructure or DevOps roles, 3+ with AWS
  • Strong Terraform; experience with Terraform Cloud or Atlantis is a plus
  • Background in a regulated environment (banking, insurance or healthcare)
  • AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification preferred

$85 to $105 per hour, W-2 or corp-to-corp, 40 hours a week. Remote within the US with occasional travel to Charlotte for cut-over weekends.
