# Job Company Information

By default, LoxoWP shows one site-wide company — the name, website and logo you enter under **Company Settings** — on every job. That fits agencies presenting their own brand. But if you want each job to display and mark up the *hiring* company instead, the Job Company Information feature (added in v2.3.0) imports each job’s own company name, logo and website from Loxo and uses them in the job schema, in the `[loxo-job-company]` shortcode and in the Job Company block.

## Requirements

- LoxoWP **2.3.0** or later.
- A completed job sync after updating — company data is stored during sync, so run one full sync (or wait for the next scheduled one) before the new data appears.

## Enabling the Feature

Go to **Loxo Jobs → Settings**, scroll to the **Company Settings** section and check **Use Job Company Information**. The option is off by default — with it unchecked, the plugin behaves exactly as before and only the site-wide Company Settings are used.

Because company data is stored on every sync regardless of the checkbox, ticking it takes effect immediately for jobs that have already synced on 2.3.0 — no re-sync needed at that point.

## How It Works

During each sync, the plugin stores the company name, logo and website Loxo provides for every job:

- **Name and logo** come with the job itself. The logo is displayed directly from Loxo’s CDN — it is not copied into your Media Library.
- **Website** is looked up from the Loxo companies API. Lookups are cached for a day, so a sync makes at most one extra request per distinct company.
- **Hidden companies** — when a recruiter hides the client on Loxo, nothing about that company is stored, and the job falls back to your site-wide Company Settings everywhere the feature applies.

## The Shortcode

Use `[loxo-job-company]` to display the job’s company logo and name. On a single job page it picks up the current job automatically; elsewhere, pass the job’s WordPress post ID with the `id` parameter.

- `id` — WordPress post ID of the job. Optional on single job pages.
- `show_logo` — `yes` or `no`. Default `yes`.
- `show_name` — `yes` or `no`. Default `yes`.

**Show only the logo on a job page:**

```
[loxo-job-company show_name="no"]
```

When the company has a website, the name renders as a link to it; otherwise it renders as plain text. The output is wrapped in a `.loxo-job-company` element (logo: `.loxo-job-company__logo`, name: `.loxo-job-company__name`) for CSS targeting, and the markup comes from the overridable `job-company.php` template — see [Template Customization](https://loxo.w4dev.com/docs/template-customization/).

## The Job Company Block

If you build with the block editor, add the **Job Company** block instead — it renders the same output and offers **Show Logo** and **Show Name** toggles in the block settings. See [Gutenberg Blocks](https://loxo.w4dev.com/docs/gutenberg-blocks/) for the full block list.

## Effect on Job Schema

With the feature enabled, the `hiringOrganization` in each job’s JobPosting structured data uses that job’s own company: the company name, its logo (omitted when Loxo has none), and the company website as `sameAs`. Google for Jobs can then attribute each listing to the actual hiring company. Jobs with a hidden or missing company keep using the site-wide Company Settings, so the schema always names a company. See [Job Schema and SEO](https://loxo.w4dev.com/docs/job-schema-and-seo/) for the full markup reference.

## Troubleshooting

- **Nothing renders** — the job’s company is hidden (or the feature is off) and no site-wide company name is set under Company Settings. The shortcode and block output nothing rather than an empty box.
- **Every job still shows the site-wide company** — either the checkbox is off, or no sync has completed since updating to 2.3.0. Run a sync from the **Synchronize Now** panel under **Loxo Jobs → Settings**.
- **Logo missing for one job** — Loxo has no logo uploaded for that company (placeholder images are never used), or the company is hidden on Loxo.
- **Name is not linked** — the company has no website set in Loxo. Website lookups are cached for a day, so a website added on Loxo can take one day plus a sync to appear.
